First Covenant Church and Alpine Ridge Neighborhood Group is in partnership with Winnebago county to establish and maintain a “Planting the Seeds of Success Community Garden”. This garden is located on the property of First Covenant Church and its goal is to provide the area with fresh produce during the growing season.
Neighbors and church members can participate in the garden by planting, pulling weeds and harvesting the crops. The crops are available to anyone and helps promote a healthier lifestyle.
Each community garden in the city also donates” 2 rows for the hungry” and brings produce to area food pantries.
