Members and attendees of First Covenant regularly participate in and support the work of The Carpenter’s Place. The Carpenter’s Place is a faith-based organization that provides the tools necessary for rebuilding the lives of the chronically homeless. Inspired by Christ’s compassion, The Carpenter’s Place offers direction with accountability to people with broken lives, helping them find peace with God, themselves, and their communities. Honored with the 2007 Excelsior Award for its positive impact on the Rock River Valley, The Carpenter’s Place offers a unique and successful model for ministry and urban renewal.
